Washington Fishing Report

Updated for March 17th, – March 23rd, 2006

Washington Fishing Update

Jay and Reid from Pro Guide Brad Shride from the Sol Duc Southwest Washington - Some spring Chinook are being taken in the Cowlitz and Lewis River although catches are not significant. A mix of late winter steelhead and a few Chinook are being caught on the Kalama River.

There was no sign of smelt for sport dippers in the Cowlitz River although recent bird activity near St. Helens may indicate the presence of small schools still in the mainstem.
