LATEST NEWS

Final Examinations for Winter Quarter will be held from March 20 through March 24, 2006. The first day of classes for Spring Quarter is April 4, 2006.

If you are interested in visiting Stanford during Spring Break, and would like to know what services will be available, we recommend that you check this schedule or contact Visitor Information Services at (650) 723-2560.

Visitor Information Services offers public walking tours for parties of nine or fewer at 11:00 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. daily, with the exception of some holidays and holiday weekends when tours will not be offered. Golf cart tours, residence hall tours, and private tours for groups of 10 or more require advance reservations.

Prospective undergraduates are encouraged to take part in our Discover Stanford program, which includes both a tour and an information session.

Golf cart tours are offered at 1:00 p.m. daily, except during the first week of classes, finals week, academic breaks, or in the event of poor weather or mechanical problems. The $5.00 per person fee is waived for any person with special mobility restrictions and his/her companion. Reservations are required, as space is limited to five people per tour. To make a reservation, please contact Visitor Information Services at (650) 723-2560.

These driving tours include the Red Barn (where Leland Stanford bred and trained prize-winning horses), the campus museum, and the athletics facilities, as well as areas covered on the Public Walking Tour, including the Main Quad, Memorial Church, the science and engineering buildings, and two main libraries.

Golf cart tours depart from Visitor Information Services, located in Memorial Auditorium.
