About Knottywood Treasures

First Day Covers sold by Knottywood Treasures

We sell Colorano "silk" and Collins "hand Painted" first day covers. I consider both their cachets the best being produced today.

Colorano's cachet is made of a silk like material and are enclosed in a gold border. Colorano produces first day covers for about every U.S. stamp issued, including Air Mail, Postal Cards, Postal Envelopes Duck Stamps and others. His quantity produced is far less then most of the larger first day cover makers.

Collins first day covers have original art work and have hand painted cachets. Collins also uses other unique and personilized items to add interest to his first day covers. The use of interesting designs, dual and combo stamps and cancels, and very limited production all add up to very special fdcs.

You can get further information about my major fdc producers if you click on their tab on the top of the page.

Knottywood Treasures sells Carnival Glass

We attend many auctions in the Atlanta area where we purchase Carnival Glass, Depression Glass, and Opalescent Glass. We also purchase other antique small items to sell on our web sites. We feature many of our favorite glass makers: Fenton, Northwood, Dugan, Millersburg, and Imperial. Generally speaking, if we like it, we will purchase it in the hopes that someone else will like it also.

You can find further information about Carnival, Depression, and Opalescent glass in the tabs on the top of the page.

Who is Knottywood Treasures?

We have been in business since 1975 under our old name of "Rex Cover Service". We were (and still remain) a first day new issue service for Colorano first day covers. In 1998 we expanded our inventory to include Collins first day covers, United States Stamps, Antiques and old glass. Because of this we felt the need for a new name to reflect or expanded business. In 2004 we added Contemporary Art to our items for sale.

We are located in Acworth, Georgia near Lake Alatoona.
