WT Trout Rods Most trout fishing situations involve casts of less than 60 feet, usually far shorter. Boron XTR Designed for extreme conditions, the XTR series features stiff butts and tips and is made with our exceptionally strong boron/graphite composite. The result is very fast action, very powerful rods that can generate extremely high line speeds. Translation: hardcore saltwater rods that were created specifically to handle lots of wind, big flies, shooting heads and sinking lines. XTR rods can make very long casts with a minimum of false casting, giving you the ability to quickly get your fly where it needs to be.
