Buckeye Lake Bassers is planning a series of late breakfast meetings for the off season. These meetings are open to anyone with an interest in Bass Tournament Fishing. Come out and have a good breakfast and talk fish'n. Meeting Schedule

Buckeye Lake Bassers will begin redirecting traffic to this site to our new web site HTTP://WWW.BUCKEYEBASSERS.NET on April 1st, 2006. This transfer should be invisible to most browsers and will be temporary until the new Newsletter modules are operational. Then both urls will take you to the same location without any transfer.

There are many reasons for this change including better security for user information. The new location requires registration (FREE) to access some features. This will enable us to make Newletter subscription and cancellation much more seamless as well as presenting additional information to club members which we do not wish public (such as telephone numbers and addresses of members). We also are offering a FORUM which presents Registered users the opportunity to express their ideas, announce tournaments, look for a tournament partner, offer items for sale, or just talk bass fishing.

Liebs Island

Welcome

Buckeye Lake Bassers wish to welcome you to our MAIN Website. We have developed this site to provide a great deal of information related to bass fishing tournaments in general and on Buckeye Lake in particular. Buckeye Lake Bassers is more than a bass fishing club and this is much more than a bass fishing club website. We have made a lot of changes for 2006 and a new look for the website is only the tip of the iceberg. You will find MORE TOURNAMENTS than ever, optional big bass pots in every event, and much more. We have also launched an additional site which will carry our FORUMS a Photo Gallery and some of the same information found here. The Forums are working now and can be accessed with the "Forums" Tab in the upper right menu between "Contacts" and "2006 Boat Raffle". We are still working on this site and will be adding a Photo Gallery and more during the upcoming year.

Buckeye Lake Bassers now offer three open bass fishing tournament circuits in addition to their members only circuit, and this website covers all four circuits in detail. In keeping with the club's goal of making low cost tournament bass fishing opportunities available to everyone, this entire site is OPEN to everyone.

If you enjoy bass fishing in a competitive environment we encourage you to check out what we offer.

We have our bass fishing club members only circuit which provides more than a dozen bass fishing tournaments each year just for club members and guests, and provides the opportunity for members to advance to Regional, State, District and National bass fishing tournament competitions. These bass fishing tournaments are usually held on Saturdays although we do fish a few Sunday events. These events provide a full 8 hour tournament day. You may access our complete 2006 Schedule, previous years results, club history, By-Laws, and Tournament Rules from the Main Menu. During the season we update our results pages following each event.

We have a Thursday Evening Open Bass Fishing Tournament Circuit designed for the angler that works on the weekends, is not free during the day, or the angler that just wants more tournament time. These short 3 hour tournaments start in May and run every week through the end of August each year. All Thursday Evening tournaments launch from the North Shore (S.R.79) Ramp to allow easier access to all portions of the lake in the shortened fishing time.

We also offer a Sunday Morning Open Bass Fishing Tournament Circuit which begins in June and runs about every other week through mid October. These tournaments begin at 6:30am or the first safe light thereafter and end at 1:00 pm. These events are designed as very informal events open to anyone. All Sunday Open Circuit events end at 1:00 pm regardless of launch time.

New for 2006 is a Saturday Morning Open Bass Fishing Tournament Circuit with a total of 5 events beginning in June and ending in September, These events are similar to our Sunday Circuit and follow the same launch and check-in schedule. We will be watching participation in this circuit to determine if it should be continued, expanded, or dropped.

Both the Saturday and Sunday Circuits launch from the Liebs Island Ramps.

While all of the Open Bass Fishing Tournament Circuits are sponsored by the Buckeye Lake Bassers club, there is no need to be a club member to participate. Each of the Open Bass Tournament Circuits is available without membership of any type in any organization.

Our rules are simple and our cost is low to encourage participation. Schedules, Rules, Payouts and more can be found from the Main Menu. We offer a free newsletter for each of the three circuits to keep subscribers informed. You may add or delete subscriptions at any time from this website. 100% of all tournament fees are paid back at each Open Event. In the event that no fish are caught, entry fees are refunded. You must be present to receive a refund. Unclaimed refunds are added to the next event payout. These events are not intended to raise money but to provide bass fishing opportunities for anyone interested in bass fishing tournaments on Buckeye Lake.

We fish a lot of bass tournaments because we are primarily a bass fishing organization. We fish because we like to fish, plain and simple. We provide the Open Bass Fishing Tournament Circuits because there are a significant number of anglers wanting to participate in bass fishing tournaments, that have no interest in joining any organization to do so. It is our goal to make low cost bass fishing tournament opportunities available to everyone.

We are extremely proud of the growth of our Club as well as the growth of our website. Within our first year of operation we have exceeded the link popularity of the Ohio Federation site and exceed all other Ohio Bass Fishing Club Websites that we know. We plan to continue the expansion of the Club, Open Circuits, and the Website to better serve those anglers interested in fishing Buckeye Lake Bass Fishing Tournaments.

Browse around and if you have any questions or comments, use our contacts page to let us know. Be sure to check back often as we will be updating different parts of the website every week. Even better, join us at the ramp when our new season begins.
