2005 AOY ends in a TIE!

2005 was an extremely difficult year for bass anglers fishing Buckeye Lake. Throughout the season two anglers have dominated in the standings. Now with the last points tournament for 2005 completed, we find these two locked in a tie for the Angler of the Year title. Dwayne and Ty Nauer each compiled 208 points to finish tied.

Sibling Rivalry

Being brothers had little to do with the Angler of the Year race that ended with Dwayne and Ty Nauer locked in a tie. Each is a fierce competitor in his own right. Each fishes alone from their own boat working their separate styles in different areas, and both normally catch bass. Dwayne holds the current record in our Open Circuit for the heaviest 5 bass limit of 13 pounds. Ty fished our club last year and represented us at the 2005 Regional Tournament on Indian Lake where he finished 13th and again at the SQT on the Ohio River where he placed 31st. He fished the Ohio Classic, also on Indian Lake, where he caught enough bass to advance to the State Team but was disqualified when his Outboard failed and he was an hour late to the check in. This is Dwayne's first year with the club and we look forward to both representing us well at the 2006 Regional Tournament on Delaware Lake.
