With 8.5 miles of Surf City USA™ coastline, swimming in the Pacific Ocean is an option all year long. During the summer months, water temperatures average from 66 to 70 degrees F. In the winter consider a wetsuit as water temperatures average 58 to 61 degrees.

Many hotels in Huntington Beach offer swimming pools for their guests. The Hotel Huntington Beach has the only indoor heated swimming pool. The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa has the distinction of featuring the only heated pool with music playing under the water!

You’ll also find heated swimming pools at Comfort Suites, Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort and Sun ‘N Sands Motel. Unheated swimming pools are offered at Beach Inn, Best Western Regency Inn and Huntington Suites.

The City of Huntington Beach offers two public heated swimming pools. City Gym, at 1600 Palm Avenue, welcomes walk-ins on Monday & Wednesday from 6:30-8pm and Saturday from 1-3pm. The cost is $2.
