The focal point of Huntington Beach is the Pier. Stretching 1,853 feet into the ocean, it is the perfect vantage point for viewing the gorgeous coastline and watching the awesome talent of local surfers. You are so far out over the water - literally above the waves – you can have the totally cool perspective that you are surfing, too! Fishing is another popular activity on the pier with a bait shop and fish cleaning stations conveniently located onsite.

The pier is home to the Surf City Store, Kite Connections and Ruby’s Surf Diner, which is located at the ocean end of the pier. What looks like an air traffic control tower is actually Lifeguard Tower Zero, manned 365 days a year by an internationally respected group of lifeguard professionals. At the base of the pier are Duke’s and Chimayo’s, restaurants that offer a more upscale atmosphere and beautiful views.

To top it off there are more than a dozen beach volleyball courts nearby. Free weekend summer concerts, a weekly farmer’s market and other special events are held at the Pier Plaza Promenade.

The pier area is also where international sports competitions drawing thousands of spectators with nationally televised coverage are held. The most famous events are the U.S. Open of Surfing and the AVP (Assoc. of Volleyball Professionals) Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament.

The Huntington Beach Pier is located at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street.
