This self guided tour will first take you to the old West, at a time when cowboys
and Indians where found all over California, and then it will bring you back to the future
on the beautiful Malibu coast and Santa Monica pier.
This tour should not take more than half a day, unless, of course, you decide to spend
more time enjoying the scenery and, why not, doing some shopping.
Our first stop is going to be Paramount Ranch, an old western movie set used most
recently for the television series "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman".
To get to the ranch from Los Angeles, use the 101 freeway north to the city of Agoura
Hills. Exit at Kanan Road and travel South on Kanan for about 3/4 of a mile. Turn left at
a sign reading "Cornell Way" and keep going South for about 2.5 miles. The
entrance is on right side of road. |
