We are no longer carrying the Steiner Peregrine or Merlin Series binoculars. Steiner has decided to no longer make them available to internet only companies and our wholesalers can longer carry them which will force consumers to drive out to dealer shops only. Although the Steiner Peregrine and Merlin products are good we also felt they were very highly overpriced when compared to the other products they sell. Since the internet offers consumers the opportunity to shop around for the best prices in the luxury of their own homes, Steiner is no longer making this an option for these products. Consumers will now be forced to pay much more for these products by buying through specific limited dealers instead of receiving more value for their money. We sold our Pergrine 10x42 series binoculars for much less then the competition because we felt the binoculars didn't deserve such a giant markup in price. Because of this Steiner has decided to limit it's sales to specific dealers who follow "their pricing guidelines". We didn't want our customers to be forced to pay that much more for their products when compared to the other fine optics we sell that can be equally compared to the Steiners. We also feel that other products that we do carry are a much better value for our consumers such as the Zeiss, Vortex, Leupold and Nikon products. Our new Vortex Binoculars have been selling extremelly well and getting RAVE reviews with a much higher value for our customers.
