Greg Mason Back

President, CNET Channel

Greg Mason, president, is responsible for the global business of CNET Channel. Prior to his current position, Mason successfully managed CNET Networks' media sales, marketing, and operations organization where Mason and his teams played a major role in the development of most major ad formats that are now industry standards, and accounted for a multitude of innovations that have improved the effectiveness and efficiency of online advertising and marketing. Mason is a member of CNET Networks senior operating committee. Before joining CNET in 2000, Mason was the publisher of Ziff-Davis's PC Computing Magazine (renamed Smart Business) and during his tenure, the publication was granted two National Magazine Awards. Prior to that, he spent eight years at IDG's PC World Communications where he held various publishing and advertising positions. Mason has an MBA from the University of San Francisco.

 

Jean-Francois Guyomar Back

Senior Vice President of Sales

Jean-Francois Guyomar, senior vice president of global sales, is responsible for leading the CNET Channel sales team, driving revenue and building strategic channel partner alliances. Before joining CNET Channel, Jean-Francois Guyomar held a position as vice president at Resonate Inc., where he created the EMEA subsidiary, opened subsidiaries in Germany, UK, France and Nordic countries and was the driver behind significant contract wins. Prior to Resonate Inc., Jean-Francois Guyomar worked for BackWeb Technologies as vice president international, where he created the European subsidiary, managing the opening of subsidiaries in Germany, France, UK, Scandinavia and Benelux. Between 1995 and 1998, he was director channels, EMEA at Netscape, responsible for the creation of Netscape's European channel. Jean-Francois Guyomar has a PhD in DESS Telecom (Paris VI) and a master degree in Computer Sciences, Universite Paris-Sud, Orsay.

 

Steve Parrott Back

Vice President of Operations and Finance

Steve Parrott, vice president, oversees the operations and finance functions of CNET Channel. Steve is responsible for aligning our customer needs with our product development and service offerings. He manages our production facilities where he is responsible for manufacturing, data distribution, data modeling and data product development. Steve also ensures we are compliant with all financial reporting and that the proper analysis is being completed to grow our business. By analyzing all market segments, Steve is able to ensure our products are delivering value to our customers. Steve also manages our customer service and support departments, delivering the highest quality service to our valued customers. Prior to joining CNET, Steve founded and served as President of PCI Consulting, a firm specializing in Supply Chain Management by developing applications for forecasting, purchasing and catalog management. Steve was COO of two Internet start-up companies and has held senior positions with several Pharmaceutical companies, implementing inventory management applications and vendor partnership programs. Steve holds an M.B.A. from SUNY - Buffalo, New York and a Bachelor of Commerce from MUN - Newfoundland, Canada.

 

Doug Schmidt Back

Vice President of Technology

Doug Schmidt is the Vice President of Technology for CNET Channel. Doug is responsible for CNET Channel's global technology strategy, as well as leading the software engineering, information technology, and product management efforts. He is a 14-year veteran in the technology industry with significant experience at publishing, media, banking, reseller channel and venture capital businesses. Doug has designed and built custom digital content management systems, large-scale data delivery systems, highly scaleable database architectures, and enterprise web applications to name a few. In addition, he has a successful history of managing large software engineering teams worldwide. It is Doug's goal to help make CNET Channel a global data providing powerhouse. Doug studied Computer Science and Mathematics at Siena College in New York.

 

Scott A. Danish Back

Vice President of Marketing

Scott A. Danish, vice president of marketing, CNET Channel, is responsible for global marketing, product management and sales support. Danish has over fifteen years of media, channel and enterprise software marketing experience. Before joining CNET, Danish held a position as Director of Product Marketing at PeopleSoft where he ran marketing communications, programs and operations for their global supply chain management division. Prior to that, Danish held senior marketing positions at OnDisplay (now Vignette) and IDG's PC World Communications. Scott graduated with honors in business administration from the University of Oregon and attended the M.B.A. program at Golden Gate University.

 

Barbara Ford Back

Vice President of Human Resources

Barbara Ford is the vice president of human resources for CNET Channel and has 20+ years of human resources experience in a variety of industries. Barbara Ford joined CNET Networks in 2001, and leads and executes initiatives that drive the company’s culture of excellence and growth. These initiatives align and engage employees around the company’s business strategies and values and help to attract, retain and develop key talent. She is responsible for the Human Resources Generalists as well as Recruiting for CNET U.S. Barbara graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Education and attended post-graduate studies at the University of Louisville.
