Chapter 0 - What can be found in this page

This page is intended for the webmasters that liked our puzzles and would like to display them on their site. Here are the copyright issues addressed (a.k.a. legal mumbo-jumbo), what it would cost you to display our puzzles on your site (zip + nada + squat + nothin' + 30 minutes), the installation instructions, and the options you have available.

If you want for any reason to contact us, feel free to do so. We love getting e-mails, especially from people that like our puzzles enough to place them on their web site!

Chapter 1 - Copyright issues and legal mumbo-jumbo

All the online games on this site are (C)opyrighted by Crea-Soft (Traian Trante).

This program and the download .zip files are intended as freeware. This means that you can use them on your site free of charge. This also means that you are disallowed from charging money for their use or charge money for their redistribution in any form.

You are free to redistribute these files to whomever you would like as long as you do not alter their content in any way and you do not charge money for distributing them.

If you intend to use the puzzles for your site, you will have to show on the pages that use our puzzles a copyright information saying that this puzzles originated from Crea-Soft.com and a hyperlink to our main page. If possible please mention in the copyright information that our site is about jigsaw puzzles.

A good example of a copyright statement would be the next one (but PLEASE feel free to change anything at this statement, even the size and color of the font, as long as the idea remains intact):

In fact, the copyright information we would preffer should look a lot simpler, like this one:

NOTE. The copyright's scope IS to exist there, so as to know who build the game. The copyright scope IS NOT in any case to annoy your visitors, or to brand our name on your pages. We write that because we saw that somebody placed our games on her site, she displayed the copyright terms high, with big fonts, on the top of all the pages. This is definitelly NOT what we intended. Want to make a good copyright? Make the font gray, make the font smaller, and display it where it doesn't annoy anyone (like on the bottom of the page)!

Chapter 2 - What it costs you to show these puzzles on your site

Aside the joke, we don't require any money for these games.

We require from you the copyright links and statement. Read the rules above. We can bet our site you skipped trough the legal mumbo-jumbo part...

Since time means money it will cost you the equivalent of 10 minutes of reading this page and understanding the instructions.

It will also cost you about 5 minutes to download each package (if you work on a very slow dial-up connection).

Depending on how would you like to integrate the puzzles on your site and how much work you'd like to put in that, it will take time too. If you just drop them on your site it would be done in 2-3 minutes (well, more like 20 minutes, with uploading and everything). However we hardly advise against simply dropping them there... you should, out of the simple respect for your visitors, to integrate the puzzles nicely on your site!

Chapter 4 - Assuming the downloads are on their way, the instructions of use are here:

When you install the games on your site do the following:
• (optional) It's best to create a directory on your site for the puzzles.
• Unzip the files from the .zip archive in the directory. Keep the file names as they are! Do not rename them! The readme.txt file is not required to run the game.
• (important)If you chose to get more than one puzzle, it is safe to unzip them in the same directory. Simply overwrite the files with the same name; the files with the same name are identical and the game is designed to work if placed in the same directory using common files.
• In each package there is a index html file. For example "aircraft-index.html". You can test the puzzles from this file, or if you don't have time to properly integrate the puzzles on your site, use this file.
• There will also be 6 other html files. For example "aircraft-medium-big.html" or "aircraft-small.html". These files are the game's files. The "small"-"medium"-"large" is the difficulty of the puzzle (nr of pieces). The "-big" or the absence of "-big" from the file name represents the game layout.
• (optional) Layouts are 1024x768 or 800x600 . Since some users still have the 800x600 screen resolution, but puzzles work a lot better on 1024x768 it makes sense to have both versions. So the file (ex) "aircraft-medium-big.html" will play the Aircraft puzzle in the 1024x768 layout and "aircraft-medium.html" will play it in the 800x600 layout.
• (optional) For the webmasters or webmistreses with graphic skills know that you can also customize the backgrounds. This can be found in the "flash" directory as "back1.jpg".."back6.jpg". Naturally "back1.jpg" is loaded by default. If you plan to change those, make sure they are of the same size of the backgrounds we supplied. Also, don't try saving backgrounds from Photoshop. Our Flash had difficulty loading those. And try to keep the background size < 100 Kb, that not to make the loading painfully slow..... PS: If you have some decent backgrounds, send them to us too!
• There is a readme.txt file in the package. You don't need that file to run the game, that file is just to contain some quick information.
