Cowlitz River Winter Steelhead are targeted in the months of November, December, and January. From November through December we have the opportunity to fish for three-salt winter run Steelhead. These three-salt fish are those that remain in the Pacific for three years before they return to the Cowlitz River to lay their eggs. These beautiful hatchery fish average in the mid teens and offer an excellent fight and are great eating.
Cowlitz Salmon We fish for three runs of Salmon on the Cowlitz; Spring Chinook or Kings, Silver or Coho Salmon and Fall Chinook. During the spring we target the excellent Spingers to begin our season. Fall Chinook and Silvers are available later in the Summer and Fall.
