Online Education, Maximum Flexibility
When it comes to online learning, flexibility is the greatest selling point. Being able to take courses at any time from literally any place in the world gives students the opportunity to pursue a college program, even if the student cannot commit 100% of their time to the endeavor.
Such an opportunity would only have been possible with an on-college campus experience years ago. But today's virtual universities have completely changed the learning experiences and options for all who wish to earn a higher degree.
Western Governors University, an online university headquartered in Salt Lake City, is yet another example of education without boundaries. Instead of teaching in a specific classroom, educators at WGU work with students using the phone, e-mail and virtual classrooms. The absence of such physical boundaries allows for the outsourcing of almost every aspect of the collegiate educational experience.
Such options create complete student flexibility and provides for such programming in the most economical manner possible. That allows the vast majority of students enrolled in online programs, many who are at least 30 years of age, the opportunity to continue to work and raise a family, even as they progress through the necessary course work to earn a college degree.
With numerous online degree options available, students are enrolling by the hundreds each and every month in online programs. At Western Governors University, a school that now offers 31 degrees, including an MBA program, more than 400 new students signed up during the month of March alone.
