Alison has a strong background in journalism and worked as a magazine journalist and editor prior to her career as a television correspondent.  She has reported on everything from teen mothers and children of alcoholics to celebrities and vacation destinations. 

A stylist for more than eight years, she has traveled the globe creating editorial shoots in such faraway places as Iceland, Morocco and South Africa for numerous publications, including Mode, Woman’s Day, Good Housekeeping, YM, People en Espanol, Teen People, Fitness and Ocean Drive.
