In 2006, Reuters is delighted to enter its 7th consecutive
year as a sponsor of the WilliamsF1 Team. Formula One is close
to the values inherent in Reuters – it is fast, exciting,
dynamic, worl-class and global in scope. Like the environment we
all work in, it is highly competitive and depends on teamwork
and reliability for good results.
WilliamsF1 has a highly successful track record in Formula
One. The company was founded in 1977 by Frank Williams and
Patrick Head and has so far won 9 FIA Formula One Constructors’
Championships and 7 FIA Formula One Drivers’ Championships.
WilliamsF1 will be entering a new era in 2006, running with
Cosworth engines and on Bridgestone tyres, and has high hopes
for success in the upcoming season. In addition, we would like
to welcome new team driver, Nico Rosberg, reigning GP2 Champion
and son of Formula One legend Keke, who will join Mark Webber on
the race track.
We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with
the WilliamsF1 Team and an exciting 2006 Formula One Season.
