The Masters – Golf’s Most Coveted Ticket

Every year the state of Georgia, the wonderful city of Augusta and the world renowned Augusta National Golf Course all warmly welcome thousands of spectators to the most popular event in all of golf.

The Masters is a time honored event with its heroes and legends rooted deep in the annals of some of golf’s richest history. Since its conception by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts in 1934 the Masters Golf Tournament has played host to some of golf’s greatest moments. From Gene Sarazen’s “shot heard round the world” in 1935 to Arnold Palmer’s 43rd Masters appearance in 2004, this event has continually provided its fans with great moments and fabulous play.

Players compete in The Masters Golf Tournament by invitation only. Just meeting the requirements to get invited is a feat in itself so you know only the best of the best will be vying for the Green Jacket each year. The pairing of great golfers and one of the sports most challenging courses makes for the most heated competition on the PGA Tour.

Over 13 million viewers tuned in to watch the 61st Masters Tournament in 2003 and those numbers have, without doubt, grown since. Those numbers alone are a testament to how popular this event has become and how coveted a ticket has become to watch this tournament in person. This event has been sold out for nearly 30 years. Two waiting lists for ticket sales have been opened and closed since 1972 and there is currently no waiting list open to obtain tickets through The Masters.

Those planning to attend The Masters Tournament will have to buy tickets on the secondary market. Masters Golf tickets, also known as Masters golf badges are golf’s most valuable tickets and they’re not easy to come buy. Those that can’t stomach losing a golf ball into the woods at a buck fifty a pop probably don’t even want to know how much a one day badge resells for on the secondary market.

For those willing to pay premium prices for the most sought after tickets in golf there’s always a way to find them. Ticket brokers like Tickco.com offer the most secure means of obtaining Masters tickets on the secondary market. Reputable ticket brokers offer secure purchasing online as well as over the phone. Those using the services of a ticket broker are encouraged to check a brokers BBB information by clicking the logo. This logo should be prominently displayed on any of the larger ticket brokering sites.

More information regarding Masters Tournament dates and pricing can be found on Tickco’s Masters Tickets page.

There are other options to using the services of a ticket broker to obtain Masters tickets. Ebay is always an option for those looking for a bargain on Masters tickets. Ebay shoppers should be aware that there’s not really a “cheap” ticket to the Masters. Those shopping for Masters tickets on ebay should be wary of prices that sound to good to be true. It’s always recommended that ebay shoppers research the seller. Try locating a physical address where the seller can be found. Avoid sellers with little or no feedback. Masters tickets always demand a high price so use caution when buying these tickets on ebay. These tickets are too expensive to trust just anyone.

There are usually other online services offering Masters tickets such as StubHub.com which is similar to ebay. Buyers should use the same precautions mentioned above when buying from these ticket auctioning sites. Make sure the seller can be trusted by researching their feedback or sellers profile information as provided. Call the seller directly, if possible, with any concerns about a purchase and never buy from a seller without knowing a physical address. If there’s no way to locate a seller that doesn’t deliver the tickets purchased, there’s no recourse available to the buyer. It is highly recommended that the buyer uses a credit card when purchasing tickets; this allows for up to 60 days to dispute any charges.

The Masters Golf Tournament is something to behold. Once your tickets are in hand, you’re in for a treat to the best golf tournament the PGA has to offer. Plan early and purchase your tickets from a reputable ticket broker if possible. If you’re looking for a deal on ebay or a similar site, be wary and find out as much as you can about the seller before you send any payment.

Good luck and enjoy Augusta.
