"From Our Hands to Yours"
Responsible Management of this Valuable Resource
Mango wood products are made from the same trees that produce the popular tropical mango fruit.
When a mango tree reaches 20 to 30 years of age the fruits are no longer suitable for commercial use.
These older trees are harvested and replaced with young trees in a process that sustains the mango forests and
provides indefinite fruit and employment for the mango growers and a continual supply of the very best
wood for the craftsmen that produce mango wood products. Responsible management of this valuable resource is
good for the environment, good for the economy and maintains valuable green space.
Mature mango trees make the very best wood for mango wood products. Tree sections are allowed to dry before
being cut into “product size” disks. The mango wood disks are turned on a lathe and rounded.
Skilled craftsmen using hand-held cutting blades shape each piece of wood to create the products shown here.
These rough mango wood products are then dried in a kiln before being artistically finished in a variety of colors
and designs.
Every mango wood product offered here is turned, shaped and finished by the hands of skilled craftsmen.
No two pieces are exactly alike. They are beautiful and useful works of art. We’re sure you will enjoy them.
