The North Cascades Highway (State Route 20) will remain closed until Wednesday at the earliest. The weekend storm left 18 inches of snow on the highway. It continues to snow hard in the area and forecasters are predicting another two feet by tomorrow (Tuesday).

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) today formally issued a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the SR 28 Wenatchee Eastside Corridor Project.

Speed Limit Change on US 97 at the Big Y
The speed limit for northbound traffic on US 97 approaching the intersection with US 2 at Peshastin will be reduced to 50 miles per hour on Thursday, December 16th.

North Cascades Highway Closed for the Season
The North Cascades Highway was officially closed for the season today.  It was initially closed by an avalanche below Liberty Bell Mountain, just west of Washington Pass, shortly before noon on Wednesday, December 8th.
