We offer hand-submissions to leading directories for our clients. Our original list had over 150 search engine friendly directories. With a new directory being released every day it is apparent we must focus on the highest quality ones. This list consists of directories we feel will help drive the most traffic to your site by search engines and direct traffic.

In putting together this list there are several questions taken into account listed below. This is not a list of what it takes to make our top directory list. These are some of the factors that influenced our decision and are listed in no particular order.

If you submitted to our list of directories it would cost you AT LEAST $1000 in submission fees alone! How much do you value your time? Why not have professionals get you the most bang for your buck? Listings in many directories are considered "permanent" (they won't change your listing), so if you do it poorly yourself, you might be hurting your site long term. If you don't know how to do it best, you should have us do your submissions.

Many of our employees at We Build Pages are editors for several of these major directories including DMOZ, Joeant and Skaffe. We know directories very well and we know their submission rules inside and out. Our Directory Submission Services will significantly increase your changes for inclusion.

The first part of the list are the directories that we consider the "Best of the Best". Most are older sites that tend to carry more weight with major Search Engines and have a larger human user base. This group we feel will be around for many more years to come. A few are already close to a decade old!

The second group of directories are some up and coming. With the outbreak of new directories being launched trying to a make a quick profit we are hesitant to recommend any directory that does not have a solid track record.

A few newer directories are exceptions to this rule. Most of these are less than two years old. The owners are extremely dedicated to creating a quality directory and not solely interested in making money. Here is an example of quality and dedication. One directory owner told us a story he refunded one company close to $300 in submissions fees for a company submitting a large number of sites that all looked different, yet sold the same items and had the same 800 number for the call center. This is the dedication to quality we are looking for.

A Special Note About DMOZ
There is no guarantee that DMOZ will list your website. We will submit your site to the best category we feel it should be included in. If after 1 month you are not included, we will submit you to a second category. If after another month you're not included, we will submit you to a third category. That's the best we can do. Even though we have some DMOZ editors on staff, we can not guarantee a listing in DMOZ.

Please Note:
1) We will not submit the following types of site: drugs, adult, gambling or pharmacy.
2) If you have been spamming these directories for inclusion every week you are probably blacklisted.
