Centered in the Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Gardens open-air amphitheater, the Great Chef Series features noted chefs preparing recipes with garden-fresh ingredients.
The Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden presents the Great Chef Series May 27 through October 8 every Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
Demonstrations are free (normal parking fees apply). Reservations are not needed; seating is on a first come first served basis. (The amphitheater holds approximately 125 people.)
The lineup for 2006 includes Ramiro Velasquez of Carlos', Amalea Tshilds of Lula Café, Joel Nickson of Wishbone, and Herb Fingerhut of Red Hen Bread.
New! Barilla Italian Cooking Weekend, July 22 and 23
Don't miss this new event, hosted by Barilla and featuring olive oil and pasta tastings, and demonstrations by Barilla and local chefs with Italian ingredients such as those found in the Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Barilla's gourmet olive oils, "artisan compotes" and balsamic vinegar will be sold in the Garden Shop and Wheelbarrow.
