What's in Bloom at the Chicago Botanic Garden

Explore the Chicago Botanic Garden Watch the dramatic change from dull brown to rainbow bright as spring flowers begin to bloom at the Garden this month.

Now we are seeing many minor bulbs in the Bulb Garden, including squills, glory-of-the-snow and spring meadow saffron. Look also for the unusual Fritillaria stenanthera along the lower walk.

Explore the Chicago Botanic GardenReticulata irises, in shades of violet and blue, are popping open in the Bulb, Sensory, Heritage and English Walled Gardens. The buds of Corneliancherry dogwood and forsythias are starting to show yellow.

Trees are also showing signs of life, with fuzzy flowers developing on willows and catkins dangling from alder trees. See spring arrive at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
