LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Upping the ante on real estate requirements a good thing
Re: 'Legislature
should kill 'quickie' real estate license' (April 7)
Dear Editor:
Here, here! I agree. There are so many in the business
already who never got the proper education even before that quickie
legislation!

Dear Editor:
I couldn't agree more heartily. There are too many people
operating with no real knowledge of the business in most states. You need three
times or more schooling and testing to cut hair and that just isn't right. Make
the original requirements more difficult and the continuing education classes
as well. As a 19+ year veteran I'm amazed at what I have to "teach"
the other agents in a transaction.

Re: 'Client
as catalyst: Consumers drive real estate change' (April 7)
Dear Editor:
We, the dreaded Realtors, have created a monster: the armchair
real estate consumer. I expect my sellers to tell me any day that they cannot
be bothered with showing their house, just do a video tour and sell it! (And reluctantly
agree to pay for the cost of the video).
