If you would like to become an Active Member in the Mambo Foundation and get involved in the development of the award-winning Mambo Open Source CMS, we would be happy to speak with you.  The Mambo Project is volunteer-driven.  We rely on community members to contribute their time, effort and energy to make Mambo better.  Membership is open to anyone.  The volunteers are divided into teams, each with a discreet area of responsibility.  While many people participate in more than one team, you will be asked to slect a primary team affiliation.

The Teams are: 

Advocacy PR & Membership

This team focuses on efforts in spreading Mambo worldwide at expos and events, promoting Mambo to the media and providing membership services including education, training, consulting and mentoring of Mambo Foundation members.

Core Development

This team focuses on contributing code to develop Mambo in accordance with the Roadmap put forth by the MSC.

Documentation

This team focuses on writing documentation that supports the usage of Mambo. The documentation includes guides for general users, administrators and developers.

Forum Moderators

The Moderators Team works in the Forums to provide a useful venue for the community and the Team to work together to address issues of concern to Mambo and the community.

Maintenance

This team focuses on maintaining Mambo at its best in its current version. The team is responsible for fixing bugs that are reported by the community.

Project Management

This team is responsible for long term planning, implementing and maintaining process controls, and resource allocation.

Quality Assurance

The members of this team formulate and execute testing plans to maintain the quality of Mambo, establish performance tests and benchmarks and manage release cycles in conjunction with the Core Development Team.

Third Party Development

This team manages the third-party developer network and assists them in providing development kits and application programming interfaces (APIs).

Translation

This team focuses on translating documentation and software (localisation) for our worldwide community of users.
