Two Die in Casino Collapse
Two men were killed in a tragic workplace accident, which saw part of a Mississippi barge collapse on them.
The men were construction workers, pumping water out of a casino barge on the Mississippi as part of work to demolish the casino after it sustained irreparable damage during the devastating hurricane Katrina last year.

Pennsylvania Senate Majority Leader David J. Brightbill recently returned campaign contributions totaling $21,000 to donors tied in with gambling interests.
Brightbill said he gave back two cheques of $10,000 each to Lackawana County's D&L; Realty, owned by Louis DeNaples, one of the applicants for a state license to operate a slots casino.
