Hawk's Nest Marina is conveniently
located on the south-west corner of Cat Island. Cat Island is approximately
300 miles South East of Fort Lauderdale and 140 miles South East of Nassau.
The Marina is a modern 28 slip facility, which is entered via a natural
creek on the leeward side of the island. The marina is extremely well
protected and experiences virtually no surge commonly found in marinas
in the Bahamas. Hawks Nest is a small full service resort facility with
a 12 room hotel, freshwater pool, clubhouse/restaurant, airstrip, and
marina bar. Hawk's nest also has a PADI dive shop on the premise and operates
daily dive trips.

As you round the barrier reef into the protected waters of Port Nelson on the island of Rum Cay you’ll find Sumner Point Marina nestled into the southeast corner. This hip little marina offers all the amenities of a full service marina with a dependable fuel supply, electricity & R/O water at dockside. With the back harbor only recently opened new docks will be filling the void expanding from a 15 slip marina to 45 slips. There are two restaurants to choose from with the new Greenflash beach bar & grill offering casual fare and the Out of the Blue offering a three to four course fine dining experience. Five colorful little villas sit right on the beach only steps from the marina. A newly paved 4500’ airstrip opens this island up to commercial flights right from Nassau. |
