Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita, Harrah’s has been committed to our employees and their recovery needs. Here is a look at recent developments at each property:

  • Harrah’s New Orleans - Now Open! Work also continues on the 450-room hotel, conference center and restaurant. The expansion is expected to open later this year.

  • In Lake Charles, Louisiana, Harrah’s recently reopened hotel rooms as the renamed Lake Front Hotel. Although the casino remains closed at this time, the hotel offers a full-service restaurant, catering services, and banquet and meeting space.

  • In Biloxi, Mississippi, Grand Casino Biloxi will reopen in mid- to late-summer 2006, following an extensive renovation project and pending regulatory approval. The property's existing land-based facilities will be completely redesigned and rebuilt into a casino and 500-room hotel, featuring restaurants and a full-service spa. The reopening will be the first step toward Harrah's development of a world-class resort in the Biloxi market.

The hearts and prayers of everyone at Harrah's Entertainment continue to go out to our displaced employees, to their families, and to the communities affected by Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. For the latest information, please continue to check Harrahs.com.
