Year Round Possibilities!

Oregon's famous Tillamook Bay with the Wilson River & Trask River provides fishing opportunities for Fall Chinook, Winter Steelhead and the hard fighting Spring Chinook Salmon. Fishing Oregon will take you where the fish are. In the fall, Tillamook Bay Fall Chinook are the King! In late fall, Chinook Salmon and Winter Steelhead may be caught on the same day while fishing on the Wilson River or Trask River. Winter Steelhead continue to be caught until the Tillamook Bay Spring Chinook arrive. In late May, we head up North to Alaska for King Salmon and Halibut.

With the arrival of fall, we start fishing for the famous Tillamook bay Chinook Salmon. These great fish range from 15-70 lbs., with the average fish coming in around 30 lbs. Nothing matches the thrill of locking into one of these powerful fish! We have permanent moorage in Garibaldi basin for convenient access to the ocean and the bay. As the season progresses, we transition from the bay and ocean to the many coastal rivers like the Wilson River and Trask River.

Steelhead start running up the local rivers like the Wilson River and Trask River in the middle of November, and at this time the bright Chinook Salmon are still strong, making it possible to catch both species in one day! By December, Tim concentrates more on the Steelhead. Starting in the middle of February the area enjoys a healthy run of wild Steelhead that continues through April.

We fish Spring Chinook starting in April and continuing into May. Springtime in Oregon often means spectacular beauty out on the Wilson River and Trask River.
