Victoria Independent Film & Video Festival

Watch a wide array of films during Vancouver Island's biggest and longest running film festival. Special events include a three-night presentation of aboriginal works and a one-week multi-media event featuring BC-based artists. Enjoy over 160 films at 4 downtown venues.

See many internationally-acclaimed skaters contend for medals. Skate Canada International is the second of six competitions in the yearly International Skating Union’s (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating series.

FIFA World Youth Soccer Championship 2007
Victoria joins Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, Edmonton and Vancouver as hosts for the 2007 FIFA World Youth Soccer Championships and the University of Victoria's Centennial Stadium will serve as Victoria's venue. The three-week long, 24-nation, 52-match tournament features the best under-20 players in the world and is the second largest FIFA event after the FIFA World Cup.
