Key West is a unique area because it offers access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf Of Mexico which creates a variety of fishing opportunities not available in most other places.
You never know what you are going to catch. You may go out for Kingfish and catch a Marlin or a Sail. The variety of fish which can be caught here surpasses most other places.
If one is not hitting there is always something else to go after: Sailfish, Tuna, Snapper, Grouper, Cobia, Kingfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Jacks, Almaco, Crevalle, Lesser Amberjack, Greater Amberjack Blue Runner, Permit, Florida Pompano King, Spanish Cero Mackerel and Barracuda just to name a few of the many species found around Key West.
