Horseback riding is a way of life in Mongolia and
one of the most popular outdoor pursuits for visitors.
We can arrange short or long riding trips across the
steppes and you are free to combine this with any
other tour. Whether you have ridden before or not,
our staffs will help make your experience an enjoyable
one. The best time to ride here is June to October
when the horses are at their best. Come visit us and

Tour itinerary
Day 1. Arrive in Mongolia
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. You'll
be greeted at the airport and escorted to your hotel.
After a light lunch in the hotel, there will be a
program of sightseeing in the afternoon. This will
include the Bogd Khan Palace, a series of beautiful
traditional buildings where the last religious King
of Mongolia resided. Dinner and overnight in the
hotel.
Day 2. Drive to Mongolia ger camp and prepare for
horseback riding tour
Drive to horseback ger camp at Elsen tasarkhai (280km
west from Ulaanbaatar), a unique area of forest and
sand dunes, and prepare for horseback riding tour.
Overnight in ger camp. Full board.
Day 3-5. Horse riding tour to Karakorum
After breakfast at the camp, we will start horseback
riding tour to Karakorum, the ancient capital (80km).
Your guide, a local horseman, will accompany you,
giving you the chance to discover the life and food
of a nomadic family and horsemen during the tour.
Overnight in tent. Full board.
Day 6. Visit the ruins of Ancient capital and oldest monastery
Visit the site of Karakorum, the capital city of Great
Mongol Empire founded in times of Genghis Khan. You
can also visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery with
108 stupas, built in 1586. Overnight in ger camp.
Full board.
Day 7-9. Horseback riding tour to Orkhon
waterfall
Up early to continue the horse back riding tour to
Orkhon waterfall. At first the terrain will be wide
open valleys then mountain fresh river before finally
changing to a forested mountain and 20ms wonderful
waterfall. On third day overnight at tourist ger camp.
Day 10. Relax!
Spend a day of leisure around the waterfall. You can
just relax and discover its scenic beauty or take
the exciting opportunity to swim, fish and hike. Overnight
in tourist ger camp. Full board.
Day 11. See the Takhi, the Asian wild horse Top
Early morning drive to Hustai National Park and see
the Takhi, the Asian wild horse. Visit Takhi’s
small museum and overnight in tourist camp. Full board
Day 12. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar and city
tour options
Drive back from the camp to Ulaanbaatar. You may choose
a city tour where you can visit souvenir and cashmere
shops before an evening concert of National Folklore.
A farewell dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 13. Departure Mongolia.
After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport.
Rider Requirements:
Riders must be 10 and over – under 65 years
of age (unless prior approval), weight limit is 220
pounds, and no pregnant rider; we screen for any health conditions that might
be affected by the 8,000 ft. elevation (heart, lungs,
elevation sickness, sun etc.)
