The Company: English Solutions, offers private, specialized English instruction to professionals and students ages 17 and older.

The Program: Learn only what you want and need in a private course designed especially for you. The program is one teacher for one student. The private instruction format means you will learn quickly and with a correct accent. English Solutions specializes in English for Professionals (engineers, doctors, business people, and others) who want English they can use in their careers. Learn quickly with a concentration on developing speaking and listening skills. There is also a special Accent Reduction course for advanced speakers.

The Lessons: The curriculum is individualized for each student. Some examples are technical and business English or university preparation. Whatever the English communication needs of the client/student are, we can do it! We will do a needs anaysis, a language assessment of the client's current English level, and use materials that meet the specific needs of the client. Lessons include using authentic materials from the client's field of interest, use of audio cassettes to improve pronunciation, developing presentations for improved professional verbal skills and more.

Field Trips: As part of your lessons, you may decide to travel with the instructor to locations of interest around the Sarasota area. This will give you opportunity to practice English outside of the class, and communicate with your instructor about the places you visit. Some possible field trips include "Historic Spanish Point", "The Ringling Museum" and "The Salvador Dali Museum".

The instructor and owner: Maria Spelleri, (M.Ed. TESOL, B.Sc, TESL Cert.,P-TESL cert.), has been designing specialized curricula for over 16 years and has worked in Europe and the U.S.A. She has over 1000 satisfied customers.

Time/Duration: The classes are provided in a minimum 15-hour contract. After 15 hours of instruction, the client and the instructor may agree to a new contract of any length. Take lessons from 2 to 15 hours a week- you choose the times and days or nights.

Tuition: Tuition begins at $35 per hour for one person. There is also a one-time fee for materials which varies depending on the need of the student, from $10 to $40. Payments may be made by business or personal check from a US account, traveler's cheques or cash, in US dollars only. I am sorry but we can not take credit cards for international clients.

Visa: A Student Visa is not necessary to study with English Solutions. We do not apply for or process Student Visas. A regular Tourist Visa is sufficient.

Location: The English Solutions instructor will come to your home, office or hotel for lessons. There is no extra charge for those in the greater Sarasota area (all of the city of Sarasota, north to Manatee County, and south to the beginning of Osprey, including Lido Key and Siesta Key). Those who want instruction on Longboat Key may be subject to an extra charge for distance depending length and duration of lessons, as well as location on the Key.
