Tour itinerary
Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and city tour
After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, you will be met at the airport and transferred to a 3-star hotel. After a light lunch in the hotel, there will be a program of sightseeing in the afternoon. This will include the National History Museum , where you will see artifacts from Mongolia and Central Asia from the Stone Age to the present, and an excursion to the Zaisan Hill War Memorial to get your bearings with a panoramic view of the whole city. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 2. Tour to Middle Gobi
After breakfast, drive to Middle Gobi Province. On the way, visit Baga Gazriin Chuluu where we will visit a spring with water that is supposed to be good for the eyes. Feel free to sample it!. Then visit ruins of a temple from the 18 th century and a crystal-lined cave. Lunchboxes from the camp. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 3. Tour to South Gobi and visit Eagle Valley
After the Breakfast drive to Yolyn Am, or ‘Eagle Valley' a very picturesque canyon with sheer rock walls where there is ice even in summer. Then visit the Gobi Museum. These areas are situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park that encompasses the peaks known as "The Three Beauties" and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains. Overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 4. Mongolian Largest Sand Dune Top
After the breakfast drive to Khongor Sand Dune. These are Mongolia's largest sand dunes, reaching a height of 800 meters in some areas. The sand dunes change color with each hour of the day, from yellow to silver to rose-colored. When you visit Khongor Sand Dune you can try camel trekking and hiking. Overnight in the tourist camp. Full board.
Day 5. Explore Dinosaur Country
After the breakfast we will drive to Ongi Temple. On the way we will visit the legendary “Flaming Cliffs,” where the first nest of dinosaur eggs ever discovered was found in 1922. Then drive to Bayanzag, a site famous for the remains of dinosaur which lived here 70 million years ago. You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saksaul trees and other classic desert vegetation. Overnight in the tourist camp. Full board
Day 6.
Drive to Erdenezuu Monastery
After breakfast drive to Erdenezuu Monastery. Built in 1586 on the site of the ancient capital of Karakorum, Erdene Zuu was the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. You can take photos of monks chanting Buddhist sutras, the huge stone turtles of Kharkhorum, and the famous Penis Rock. Overnight in the tourist camp. Full board
Day 7.
Orkhon Waterfall and Tovkhon Monastery
After breakfast drive to Orkhon Waterfall situated in the valley of the Orkhon Rive, an area with beautiful forest scenery. The waterfall is 20 meters high. This is a great spot for bird watching and fishing. On the way we will visit Tovkhon Monastery, dedicated to Zanabazar, the first head of Buddhism in Mongolia, who lived and worked here. You will have the opportunity to try some horseback riding. Overnight in Tourist camp. Full board
Day 8. Drive to Ugiil lake
After breakfast drive to Olgii Lake . When will you visit the Olgii Tourist Camp you have some opportunity to take a boat tour and do some birding and fishing. Ogii Lake (altitude 1387 m; surface area—25 sq. km) is known for its rich diversity of bird and fish life. Among the fish found here are by pike, catfish, and bars chasten. There is a commercial fishery here which produces fifty to eighty tons of fish annually, so there is no shortage of fish. Among the birds, it is not unusual to spot Swan Geese, White Spoonbills, and Dalmatian Pelicans. Overnight in tourist camp. Full board
Day 9. Khugnu Khan Mountain national park Top
Then we will drive to Khugnu Khan Mountain National Park where we will visit a unique combination of Mongolian mountains, forest, and Gobi-type desert all in one location. The small monastery of Uvgun ( Old Temple ) found here is quite interesting. Then will visit a local horsemen family and have an opportunity to experience their way of life, their culture and traditions. We will play traditional games and stay overnight in a tourist camp. Full board.
Day 10.
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar and city tour options
Drive back from the camp to Ulaanbaatar. You may choose an optional city tour where you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore. Then a farewell dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 11. Departure back
Mongolia
You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport.
