Judge explains dismissal of New Orleans abuse case
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

NEW ORLEANS A New Orleans judge is explaining why he dismissed a 22-year-old molestation claim against Michael Jackson. The judge says he believes the pop star was nowhere near the kidnapping scene.

U-S District Judge Eldon Fallon kicked the case last week, but no reasons were given when the decision was posted on the court's Web site.

Joseph Bartucci Junior claimed he was forced into a limousine in May 1994 and driven to California. He says he was molested and held against his will -- but only recalled the alleged assault in 2003, when new molestation claims against Jackson came out.

The judge says two sworn witnesses helped establish that Jackson was likely in California at the time.
