Welcome to the Register Of Deeds website. The Register Of Deeds Office provides numerous services to the working community and general public. These include recording legal documents and maps, issuing marriage licenses, certifying documents, and administering oaths.

The Register Of Deeds Office is provided for in the General Statutes Of North Carolina. Registers Of Deeds are elected for 4-year terms by the citizens of the county the Registrar serves. The Register Of Deeds serves as custodian and manager of large numbers of public records. By law, the Register Of Deeds is charged with the integrity, completeness, accuracy, and safekeeping of these public records. I am serving my 7th term as Brunswick County Register Of Deeds.

During the fiscal year 2004/2005, the Register Of Deeds recorded 48,555 instruments, 242 birth certificates, 702 death certificates, and issued 752 marriage licenses, along with other duties and responsibilities, which generated in excess of $7 million of revenue.
