Hilary Duff

Even before she was a teenager, Hilary Duff was a teen favorite. She began her Lizzy McGuire role when she was 12. Duff turned 18 on September 28, 2005, so she has less than two years left as a teen star, but will no doubt continue to attract huge teen audiences. The real challenge is still ahead of Duff though - how to transition into a more adult persona and career while still maintaining her teen audience and appeal. Two upcoming movies starring Hilary Duff should help: Material Girls and Outward Blonde. Both movies give her the opportunity to reflect a more mature women, but not so mature that they will turn off her current target, base teen audiences.

Jessica Simpson

She rose to fame as a newlywed, but Jessica Simpson is turning heads most recently wearing short-shorts in the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie remake of the once popular television show as Daisy Duke. Jessica Simpson has used the movie and the buzz it has created to bring synergy back to her musical career with another remake, "These Boots Are Made For Walkin" with the same lyrics, but a hot, saucy different set of moves.
