In 2003, the Lieutenant Governor’s Awards for Excellence in the BC Wine Industry (in British Columbia Wines) were established to recognize and honour the best of wines created in our province. Entries for the 2005 awards are now being accepted.

• deadline for entries is May 27, 2005,
• there is no entry fee to enter a wine however each winery is limited to four entries,
• three bottles of each must be delivered by June 3, 2005 to: Pacific Agri-food Research Centre in Summerland,
• the panel will select 8-10 wines that have achieved “excellence” in 2005,
• winners will be announced in July and Her Honour will present the awards in August at each of the winning wineries,
• winning wines will be entitled to use the Lieutenant Governor’s Award logo for advertising purposes as outlined in the terms of use agreement.
