The Maison de Salamandre is situated next to the owner’s bed and breakfast in the unspoilt village of St.Moreil. Situated on the borders of the Creuse and the Haute Vienne.The maison de Bleue has its own private, enclosed garden.It is a typically Creusoise former farm labourer’s cottage and has been recently renovated to provide basic but comfortable accommodation for two people, or four people. The cottage is small and compact but it an ideal base for house hunting or holidaying. Included in the price are towels, bed linen,bathrobes,hairdryer,electricity.

There are many place to visit in this area including Lake de Vassiviere which is 30 minutes away and has 45kms of shoreline offering category two fishing, six man-made beaches, bars and restaurants Situated on an island in the lake is the Centre of Contemporary Art a Sculpture Park and many picnic spots, Newly opened is Parc d’arbre en arbre for both children and adults alike If you prefer a taste of city life and culture Limoges is 45 minutes way and is famed for its porcelaine and enamel work, The city centre also contains some lovely shops, numerous museums, A 13th century Butcher’s Quarter both covered and open markets botanical gardens and a microbrewery complete with bar and pavement side tables so you can sit and watch the world go by.Other places of interest incude the medieval market town of St.Leonard de Noblat with a fine example of an 11th century Romanesque church half timbered houses and shops, Aubusson which of course is famous for tapestry making and which has both permanent and temporary exhibitions of works dating from the 15th Century to the present day La Souterraine a lively market town and pilgrims halt on the way to St.Jacques de Compostelle Parts of the medieval ramparts such as Portal of St.Jean still stand, Chenerailles boasts the beautiful renaissance Chateau de Villemonteix.

It is a typically Creusoise former farm labourer’s cottage and has been recently renovated to provide basic but comfortable accommodation for two people, or four people if good friends. The cottage is small and compact but it an ideal base for house hunting or holidaying.
The accommodation comprises a tastefully decorated twin bedroom with shower room. A living room with views over a beautiful wooded valley.
The living is equipped with a sofa bed, T.V., video, (a selection of videos are available from the main house) CD and cassette player.
The cosy kitchen-diner has a fridge, gas cooker, coffee-making machine, kettle, toaster and wood-burning stove. The use of a washing machine is available.
The front door leads out on to a terrace, which is shared with the B & B guests but has its own table and chairs.
As the main house is a bed and breakfast you also have use of the main sitting room and also the rest of the garden if you wish.
