Catherine Mary White Basker
85, of Allen, Texas, formerly of Waimea, died April 22 in Allen, Texas. Born in Honolulu, she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteer at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Friends may call 4 p.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waimea Chapel; inurnment to follow at the Hawaii County Cemetery, Mormon Section, in Waimea. Survived by sister, Beatrice Steere, formerly of Waimea, sons Richard (Jean) Basker of Oakley, Calif., Peter Basker of Saint George, Utah, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
