April 28: Workers' Memorial Day

Safety leaders in both the U.S. and Europe are promoting April 28th as a day of remembrance for workers killed on the job. In the U.S., the AFL-CIO is devoting its safety and health website to the promotion of Workers’ Memorial Day with a campaign titled, “Good Jobs, Safe Jobs: Protect Workers Now.” The union has made fact sheets, posters, a collection of tributes for fallen workers and more available on its website.
