SOUTH LAWN SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Come early to have time to enjoy the beautiful summer blooms with your family and friends before the concerts begin. Bring your lawnchairs and blankets, but please leave pets and alcoholic beverages at home.

2nd Marine Expeditionary Force Concert Band
May 15, Monday. Gates open to the public at 5 p.m. This concert begins at 6:30 p.m. FREE.

North Carolina Symphony
June 18, Sunday. Gates open at 5 p.m. This concert begins at 7 p.m. FREE.

440th National Guard Band
July 7, Friday. Gates open at 5 p.m. This concert begins at 6:30 p.m. FREE.

SECOND ANNUAL ARCHAEOLOGY FIELD SCHOOL
Craven Community College will offer field school experience May 22-June 23, 2006, as a summer session 3 hour credit course. The field school, ANT 298, will be held in collaboration with East Carolina University Archaeology. Class will be held both on site and in the Tryon Palace Archaeology Lab from 10:10 am to 1:20 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The archaeological site has historic and potential prehistoric significance for the New Bern area. For more information, please contact Caroline Whitehead, 638-7305, at Craven Community College. Students may register through Craven Community College the week of April 24-28 or on May 18. Curriculum and special interest students are welcome.
