“There was a time when putting out your best wine glasses meant dusting off the fancy cut crystal-some pre-nuptial pattern picked for its pretty form, not its practical function.Happily, styles have changed when it comes to many things, including glassware. Form and function have now been happily married by several of today’s top glass manufacturers, making it possible to find a wine glass that not only looks good, but will make your favorite vintage taste its absolute best.…Good glassware also enhances the wine-drinking experience by focusing on the wine’s aromas. A wide glass with a large surface area for swirling allows the wine to release all of its volatile components, while a narrow opening delivers all of that bouquet directly to your nose.
