There a many fine lakes around the city of Victoria for swimming.
Thetis Lake, which is located off the Trans Canada Highway has a lovely
beach and clear, fresh water. Elk Lake, located off the Island Highway
is another suitable place. The beach at Dallas Road is great for
soaking up the sun but unfortunately, the water is unsuitable for swimming.
