I have the new boat, and a buyer for my old hull who already has a new motor from another boat he would like to put on it, so I would like to sell current the motor and controls. The motor is a 1995 Suzuki DT65hp oil injection 2 stroke. The motor is in excellent running condition, except the power trim/tilt does not work. It is currently still on the boat and available for trial. For sale complete with controls and 2 good props (different pitches). It pushes my 17' VIP SeaSquirt to 30mph (GPS) and gives 4+ MPG. NADA Avg retail $1175, asking $1000. Can make arrangments to run the boat if desired. Will demo cold, no pre-start or warming. Located in Panama City, FL. Reply here or email chumhead1@hotmail.com , please include boat motor in subject line in case the junk filter catches the email. chumhead [This message has been edited by chumhead (edited 01-24-2006).] IP: Logged |

Sorry Southernbassin, the NEW boat is a Carolina Skiff 24DLX....the old boat is a VIP SeaSqirt. The only livewell I used in that boat was a 10 gallon bucket plumbed to a pump on the transom, and goes to the buyer of the boat. That boat was very basic, nothing to part out....all the anchors and equipment transferred to the new boat. chumhead IP: Logged |

Say it anit so.. I cannot believe you are getting rid of the Suki. I moved mine off of my boat to a old boat that I keep in the lake so I can continue to abuse it and it can keep running, Hands down the best motor I have ever owned. Mine is a 1992 dt55IP: Logged |

Yeah, hands down my best motor too. The only reason I'm selling is that since I have the Carolina Skiff now, and it has a DF140....I really don't have the need for the 65. A friend wants the old boat hull, and he has a 1 year old motor he wants to put on it.It will be a sad day when I finally see her go..... chumhead IP: Logged |

Not a problem, will keep you posted. I parked it in the front yard, and planned on cleaning it up this weekend and putting a sign on it, but have had 3 people stop to inquire if it was for sale before even posting a sign.chumhead IP: Logged |
