The Youth Programs Division is committed to empowering the successor
generation and establishing long-lasting ties between the United States
and other countries through exchange programs and institutional partnerships.
Programs focus primarily on secondary schools and promote mutual understanding,
leadership development, educational transformation, and democratic ideals.

Indonesian YES student wins seven medals at the
Imperial County Academic Decathlon Awards
Tara Rahmani, a YES student from Indonesia and a Senior
at Central Union High School, took first place in the scholastic
category for Science and Interview, second in Economics
and Music, and third in Mathematics, Art and Super Quiz
categories. More

FLEX Student Competes at the National Western Stock Show, Rodeo, and Horse Show in Denver, CO
Hobbs, New Mexico: Dasha Velikoivanenko, a FLEX student from Russia competed in January at the National Western Stock Show, Rodeo and Horse Show in Denver, Colorado. Dasha, and her lamb were one of thousands of lambs, cattle and horses that were exhibited at the 100th Anniversary show this year. The special event this year gave Dasha an opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the "Old West" and the role that livestock played in settling the region.
