Gary, Darell, Paul, Dave, George and Ed kicked off the 2006 season with Capt. Steve on the Pursuit

We hit the water today to officially start the 2006 season and we did it in a BIG way... The stars alligned to grace us with calm water, sunny skies and nice fish. The best part about this time of year is there are very few other boats on the water and often you don't have to go too far to catch nice fish. We sat tight today and had a great bite of nice halibut in the morning. Ed, Dave, George, and Paul got things rolling by landing nice halibut in the 70 - 100 pound range. Later in the day we put the hurt on some yelloweyes and black rockfish. In the process George found himself in quite a battle with a 75 pound halibut he caught when he snagged the clip of an old longline the fish had broken loose from. That fish capped a great day on the water, and an awesome start to 2006.
