Know your Skin Type
A solid skincare routine can result in a more youthful appearance, healthier looking skin and smoother shaves. It starts with knowing your skin. This will help you decide what steps to take and what products you should use.

Oily Skin

  • Prone to blackheads, blemishes and break-outs
  • Large, visible pores
  • Shiny film and particularly oily in the t-zone: nose, chin and forehead
  • Sallow complexion

If you have oily skin, clean your face with a Oil Control clay cleanser or Delicate Daily Cleanser, Dead Sea Mud Soap. Avoid cleansers with alcohol that will tighten and dry the skin. Twice weekly, remove dead cells and unclog pores by using a gentle face scrub. Follow with a Floral Active Moisturizer, a light hydrating moisturizer excellent for all skin conditions, especially dry or oily skin.

An important note to remember is proper cleansing of the skin should only remove the grime not the natural oils protecting the skin. Because the more you strip your skin of natural sebum, the more it will produce to compensate. On the other hand skin that is not cleansed properly can lead to clog pores and create blackheads.

Thus, balancing the skin should be your goal - the key to healthy, radiant skin. This involves proper cleansing, moisturizing and perhaps even a change in diet. It also requires patience in finding the right products.

Dry Skin

  • Has a parched look
  • Feels "tight" and uncomfortable after washing
  • Can be prone to sensitivity

Use nondetergent, neutral-pH product to cleanse your skin, our raw goat's milk soap is a good example. Avoid using any commercial soap as well as cleansers with alcohol that will tighten and dry your skin.

Dry skin also requires generous quantities of oil and moisture. It also needs extra careful protection. Use our Lavender Super Moisturizer to increase the water content of the outer layers of the skin and give it a soft, moist look.

Follow your bath or a shower with a good quality body lotion or oil.
