Built for John Burgess in 1970, using Cor-Ten steel to Lloyds 100A1, at John Perry's boatyard in Rochester, England, 'Sinbad Severn' was to become perhaps the most successful charter yacht of all times in the Mediterranean. She is remembered by a great many people for the quality of life aboard and the outstanding impressions of the many varied and beautiful ports that she visited over a twenty year period.
Sadly, she fell into disrepair following her sale in the late 1980's and, by the time that her present owner acquired her in 1999, there remained but a shell and little hope for her restoration.
Happily, this has not proved to be the case and she was re-launched on the 26th October 2001, in a condition that we hope is every bit as fine as that first day in 1970.
