The monthly time series of England and Wales Precipitation (HadEWP)
begins in 1766, making this the longest instrumental series of its
kind in the world.
The series is currently based on weighted averages of daily observations
from a network of stations in five
regions. View the annual
timeseries of HadEWP since 1766.

Daily England and Wales precipitation
totals are based on weighted totals from a network of stations
within each of five England and Wales regions. Provisional daily
totals, with a two-day time lag, are available on request. A full
quality control is performed on the 5th of each subsequent month,
allowing monthly totals to be updated. |
