2005 North Pole Ski Expedition
After seven days of challenging weather and surface conditions the expedition reached the North Pole on April 18. They camped at the North Pole for the night, the most northerly campsite in the world, where they celebrated with rum, whisky, laughter and music.
Participants Matt McFadyen and Rob Porcaro used the experience as training for their upcoming solo expeditions to the South Pole. See their website at www.sp1.net.au
